Kurna Chata – Poszła Kasia w las

https://youtu.be/4W12x5-NbIE

Repertuar koncertowy Kurnej Chaty to z jednej strony ciekawe interpretacje tradycyjnych polskich tematów folkowych w stylu wykonawczym „ethno-modern”, a z drugiej strony ocierające się o muzyczno-kabaretowy pastisz, dowcipne utwory inspirowane tekstami z tradycyjnej muzyki ludowej. Połączenie nostalgicznych klimatów tradycyjnych pieśni ludowych z humorystycznymi piosenkami w stylu folk, zapewniają podczas koncertów zespołu Kurna Chata różnorodne i inspirujące przeżycia artystyczne.

The music of Kurna Chata is an example that when you combine an original arrangement with professional rendition and conscious creation in the direction of diverse musical moods you can get a brilliant final result. The concert repertoire of KCh is on one hand an interesting interpretation of traditional polish folk numbers arranged into a “ethno-modern” style, on the other hand it’s almost an entertaining musical pastiche with witty lyrics taken from polish folk songs. The mixture of nostalgic tones of traditional music with humorous folkish songs ensure that the concerts of KCh are always inspiring and different.

Maja Lewicka – lead vocal
Katarzyna Klukowska – lead vocal
Aleksandra Piechota – percussion
Jan Sokolnicki – accordion, backup vocal
Paweł Tomaszewski – acoustic guitar

LYRICS

My passport
Says I´m mexicano
but the truth is that I feel de todos lados
Cada adios
es una bienvenida
Es una ventana abierta para empezar de nuevo sin estigmas
I´m not going to cry
I won’t shed a tear
I´m going to keep just focus on my dreams
Cause today I found a way
I love this land and this land loves me.

Just because
We need to know, there’s a real world beyond the Internet.
Just because we need to accept and respect
Everybody and Everybody’s way
yeah It was hard
to leave all behind
All my people back in my old hometown
I´m living a process
of integration
adaptation
getting the cultural situation
